Read this first: This page is a guide only, not an official list. Exness sets its own accepted countries, and the list changes without notice. Before you open any account, contact us or Exness directly to confirm your country's status today.
Why are some countries restricted?
Restrictions are not a business choice by the broker. They come from three overlapping reasons:
- Regulatory licenses: each broker is licensed by specific authorities, and each license allows serving some countries but not others.
- Anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism (AML/CTF): countries rated high-risk are usually excluded.
- International sanctions: some countries are under sanctions that block financial services to their residents.
This is why restriction lists look similar across most global brokers — it is not about choosing another broker, but the whole industry's stance on compliance.
Cases that need special checking
- EU and UK: the service is available but through EU-licensed entities, with low leverage caps and very different conditions.
- Algeria, Libya, Lebanon: the situation varies and may change — check before you register.
Nationality vs. residence — a point many people miss
Most people assume the restriction is tied only to where you live. The reality is more precise:
- Residence: proven by address documents during identity verification (KYC), and it is the main factor for most brokers.
- Nationality: some brokers restrict holders of certain nationalities even if they live in an accepted country.
- Login location: brokers monitor IP addresses and login patterns. Short travel is usually fine, but repeated logins from a restricted country can freeze the account.
Important warning: Using a VPN to hide your real location or bypass country restrictions directly breaks Exness terms, and can lead to a frozen account, refused withdrawals, and permanent closure. We never recommend it, and we do not support any such attempt.
How to check for yourself
- Start the registration and choose your country of residence — if it is restricted, you will see a clear rejection message.
- Contact the broker support directly and ask about your specific country.
- Or contact us — we will check with Exness and tell you honestly, even if the answer is no.

We do not help anyone bypass broker restrictions or laws. If your country is not eligible, we will tell you directly instead of pushing you toward an account that could be frozen later. Protecting your money matters more to us than adding a new client.
